$L^2$ Sampled Signal Reconstruction With Causality Constraints - Part II: Theory
نویسندگان
چکیده
This paper provides the theoretic foundation for the design of L optimal reconstructors (aka interpolators / holds) with a prescribed degree of causality. A compact frequency domain solution is derived which mimics known interpolation techniques for ordinary transfer functions. In parallel an extensive state space solution is documented. It complements the frequency domain solution in that it constructively proves the various claims, and it also makes the solution concrete. The state space solution requires the solution of one Riccati and one Lyapunov matrix equation.

${L^2}$ Sampled Signal Reconstruction With Causality Constraints-Part I: Setup and Solutions
This paper studies the problem of reconstructing an analog signal from its sampled measurements, in which the sampler (acquisition device) is given and the reconstructor (interpolator / hold) is the design parameter. We formulate this problem as an L (Wiener / Kalman filtering like) optimization problem and place the main emphasis on a systematic incorporation of causality constraints into the ...
متن کاملOn the Consistency of L-Optimal Sampled Signal Reconstructors
The problem of restoring an analog signal from its sampled measurements is called the signal reconstruction problem. A reconstructor is said to be consistent if the resampling of the reconstructed signal by the acquisition system would produce exactly the same measurements. The consistency requirement is frequently used in signal processing applications as the design criterion for signal recons...
متن کاملSampling from a System-Theoretic Viewpoint
This paper studies a system-theoretic approach to the problem of reconstructing an analog signal from its samples. The idea, borrowed from earlier treatments in the control literature, is to address the problem as a hybrid model-matching problem in which performance is measured by system norms. The paper is split into three parts. In Part I we present the paradigm and revise the lifting techniq...
متن کاملSignal Reconstruction via H ∞ Sampled - Data Control Theory — Beyond the Shannon Paradigm
This paper presents a new method for signal reconstruction by leveraging sampled-data control theory. We formulate the signal reconstruction problem in terms of an analog performance optimization problem using a stable discretetime filter. The performance criterion naturally takes intersample behavior into account. We present methods for computing optimal solutions which are guranteed to be sta...
متن کاملSignal Reconstruction via H-infinity Sampled-Data Control Theory: Beyond the Shannon Paradigm
This paper presents a new method for signal reconstruction by leveraging sampled-data control theory. We formulate the signal reconstruction problem in terms of an analog performance optimization problem using a stable discrete-time filter. The proposed H∞ performance criterion naturally takes intersample behavior into account, reflecting the energy distributions of the signal. We present metho...
